Noche Buena 2005 in Miami
Noche Buena is a great time to renew old friendships and make some new friends. This year Raúl roasted an 85-pound pig for about 50 guests. We were glad to have Dr. Robert Zarranz, his wife Lisa, and their two girls as the guests of honor. The Zarranz family have been long-time supporters of our efforts.
Of course, no pigroast is complete without all of the side dishes: yuca, black beans, rice, a delicious Venezuelan salad, and plenty of fresh Cuban bread.

The kids have a good time.
Nephew Neil and Cousin Frank carried on the Noche Buena tradition in Tampa. Jorge's brother Pedro Castillo made the trip up to Tampa to represent the Miami Cubans. Neil and Angie's daughter, Lizzie is getting bigger every day! Next year she'll be eating lechón just like the big kids.
